Schneeweiss Adult Congenital Heart Center Opens New Jersey Location

The Schneeweiss Adult Congenital Heart Center opened a satellite location in New Jersey.  The new office, located in Englewood, NJ, expands the center's services into an area where patients with adult congenital heart disease (ACHD) were not previously able to receive convenient, specialized care.
 
The new satellite office is the only dual certified ACHD program in New Jersey, accredited by both the Adult Congenital Heart Association and the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education.

This is an opportunity for patients to receive state-of-the-art care by Columbia University ACHD specialists without having to travel to Manhattan. The new location offers access to the same physicians, imaging support staff, and sonographers who provide care at the main location in upper Manhattan.
 
Dr. Rosenbaum, a pioneer in the field of adult congenital heart disease, has led the Schneeweiss Adult Congenital Heart Center since 1987.  Under his leadership the center has expanded to include locations in Westchester and Long Island.
 
The American Heart Association estimated that there were 1.4 million adults with congenital heart disease living in the US in 2010, a 63 percent increase since the year 2000.
