Enrollment has been completed for the Fontan Outcomes Study to Improve Transplant Experience and Results (FOSTER) Study, a multicenter study involving fourteen adult congenital heart disease centers. The study is led by Matthew Lewis, MD, Assistant Professor of Medicine and Director of Adult Congenital Heart Disease Research at Columbia's Schneeweiss Adult Congenital Heart Center. The FOSTER study is a multi-institutional effort that spans the United States and Canada to define transplant outcomes in adult patients with failing Fontans. The results of this study are scheduled to be presented at the upcoming American College of Cardiology meeting.
